Apple Intelligence Packed with AI Features
Apple’s iOS 18.1, dubbed Apple Intelligence, integrates a variety of AI features into one cohesive update. Some of these features are still in the BETA phase, meaning they may change before the official release. For now, we've compiled the key features for you.
Writing Tools and Siri Enhancements

Additional Features in iOS 18.1
Focus Mode
A common issue is the constant interruption from app notifications. Completely turning them off isn’t practical since you might miss important emails. The new Focus Mode in iOS 18.1 addresses this by reducing notifications to only the most important ones. You can even set up multiple focus modes based on your current activities.
Call Recording
You can now record phone calls with a single click, and all participants will be notified. (Whether this complies with European law is still unclear.)
The Report
Apple continues its commitment to transparency. You can view your personal “Apple Intelligence Report” by activating Face ID.
iOS 18.1 Beta for Developers: EU Participation
Unfortunately, it seems only US developers can participate in the iOS 18.1 Beta. Attempts to join using location spoofing and a US account have been unsuccessful.
When Can Users Expect the Update?
iOS 18 will be released in September. The discussed Apple Intelligence iOS 18.1 update doesn’t have an official release date yet, but it is expected to be available a few weeks after the launch of iOS 18.
